Whakapapa

 Through the term, I had to Write down our whakapapa and some people wanted to present it on stage. I like writing my whakapapa so you can know the history of your family's side. On mum and dad's side.

In term 1 we've been doing our visual arts with pen and pencil. Ever since we started art I've learnt new kinds of designs. like cross-hatching, Hatch lines and following lines. Then with our visual arts, we Surrounded our pepeha with our art. It was a fun and apart of our learning.

khody's facts about kiwis

 On the kiwi trip, it was cool. when I was with my team. Komene, Tumu, Kayden, and I.we didn't just see a kiwi but we also saw some eels in a little fresh water creek. And for dinner, we had hotdogs in a bun with cheese, sauce, and It was fun. Even when we were praying just about to turn dark I heard the kiwi's calling.

Lush tropical trees covered the island. standing on the hot golden sand, with his taiaha firmly in his hands, Kupe surveyed the empty space. the ocean welcomed/karangatia to kupe

As I was getting ready to explore the big, beautiful ocean I swooped all my gears on the boat and waved goodbye. I drove 10 km North.” Oh man!”.On my way out, the water was nice and clear. looking down to the water next to the motor, I had just remembered I had to put gas in the boat. Then the boat started sputtering out. I was Terrified!. My hair’s started standing. No boats close to me.No no food, and really far away from land.

So I had a look around scared. Then in a blink of an eye. An island! “I yelled”.My tank was out of gas so I grabbed my diving gear, threw it on. Got my bag full of nothing and swam to the island.A couple minutes later I had arrived at the Island. I went to go check around the island and there was nothing but trees, caves, vines, and grass. The island wasn’t so big so I made myself comfy and made a bed in the cave I had found.

About ten o’clock in the morning, he was scared that he would never get to see his parents, but then he got an idea. I went to look for some wood to build me a boat. I had trouble carrying the woods but I had to, I just put the woods together, grabbed the vines I had found, and made It the raft was rough, logs of driftwood at the base. I dragged the boat into the water, and it sunk. Frustration and rage bubbled up inside me. So I tried again, but made my vines tighter and added more and more ropes. then I got it. It floats. Yes! I did it, I yelled, jumping up and down like a little kid on Christmas day. He felt so proud

After a day I finally finished making my boat. I felt really happy that I might get to go home.so I went to the creek I remembered well-collecting wood. I heard the sound of the babbling fresh water. I got bored so I went and pooped some PHAT! manus. After doing some manus, I had felt a saw from all the hard work I did making the boat, but I pushed through the pain. I was starving, So I went by the rocks in the ocean, and saw some PHAT! Kina. So I put my skinny hungry body under the water and pulled heaps of kina out. I had no knife so I had to get a rock and smash them with my muscles.

After that delicious kina, It was finally time to try to get home. So I pushed the craft boat in the water and started paddling away. I had hit my head on the boat in the water,   then starting to drown, there was nothing to do. The waves kept smashing me deeper and deeper. Then my body started to die slowly.
